Exhibition of the Regional Museum Prague ? East Link: Memorial to Josef Lada The countryside aroud Hrusice has so many specific attributes that it can be recognized at first sight by everybody who has ever seen pictures made by the world-known painter who is native from here. It is full of hills and hillocks, it is not possible to see it all over. The curiosity of a pilgrim, who is climbing onto each of those hills so as to take delight in new and new view, becomes greater. The most famous view is the view of the village of Hrusice itself with the ancient dominating slender church tower. And just few meters from the church tower you will find our Memorial that will introduce you into the magic world of the illustrations made by Josef Lada (1887 ? 1957) and his doughter Alena (1925 ? 1992). It has been established in the former villa of Lada?s family (Nr. 115) surrounded with a big garden. The doors of the memorial are open for you every day year around except Monday, from 9 am till noon and from 1 pm till 5 pm. Greater groups and collective tours are asked to make reservations The sight-seeings are with a guide and they start on full hours. |
